How to Customize the Login Page in My Domain

Updated: Nov 12, 2019

In our last article titled How to Implement My Domain, we went over how to set up My Domain for your company’s Salesforce org for a more personalized, secure experience for your users. In this article, we’ll show you how to display your company’s logo on the login screen using My Domain to add an inviting, company specific login page.

The Steps:

a. From Set-up, type “My Domain” in the Quick Find Box

b. Select “My Domain” under Company Settings

c. Click Edit in the Authentication Configuration section of the page

d. Click “Choose File” and select your brand logo from your computer location and click “Open”

NOTE: When choosing or creating an image, keep in mind that the size limit for images is 250 x 125 pixels and the file size shouldn’t exceed 100kb. Images can be jpeg, png or gif.

e. You can also customize the background color of the left frame of the login page. Salesforce uses the hexadecimal color number (#000000) so you can match your Salesforce org’s login page to your company’s brand colors.

f. The right frame of the login page is another section that you can also customize. It’s located on the right-hand side of the standard Salesforce login page that usually displays Salesforce related items. Make sure the URL you choose uses SSL encryption and the https:// prefix.

If you placed a link in the right-frame URL field, such as your company’s website, it will be displayed on the right-hand side.

You can log out of your org to see your changes as soon as you save them.

By the way….

My Domain doesn’t have to be deployed for admins to make and view these changes, so feel free to create and add a logo before you deploy your new domain name to your users.
